Freight Rolling Stock

The rail freight industry carries £30bn worth of goods across the country per annum and plays a vital role in reducing road congestion and harmful emissions.

At Porterbrook we support the Government ambition to see more freight moved by rail and are active in the market to provide quality rolling stock solutions to Freight Operating Companies. This could be through targeted investments in locomotives or wagons, or through the innovative repurposing of surplus passenger rolling stock.

We continue to pursue opportunities to grow our portfolio as we bid to finance and support new build fleets as part of the refranchising process.
