- 1st generation new EMU: Govia Thameslink Railway Class 387/1
- Wild card: Northern Class 150

Govia Thameslink Railway | Porterbrook | Alstom
The £100m investment project to upgrade Govia Thameslink Railway’s entire Electrostar fleet is significantly improving reliability and passenger experience with a host of new features.
The Electrostars return to service with features including plug and dual USB sockets, energy saving LED lighting, new digital information screens, and forward facing and track debris CCTV.

Three ex-passenger Class 153 trains have been converted into a transformational switches and crossing train-borne monitoring service, supporting a new path for safe inspection of assets, meaning engineers can dial up inspections and decision making from a desktop and reduce time spent on track.
This means that on foot inspections of switches and crossings can be reduced by up to 50%.
