Long Marston hosts Primary Engineer teacher training

This week Porterbrook hosted the first Primary Engineer training event at our Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre, following the announcement of the new project in October.

11 teachers, five Porterbrook engineers, and three members of the Primary Engineer team attended the training session to learn about the projects they’ll be taking into schools over the next few months.

Primary Engineer is a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of encouraging more young people to consider careers in STEM related professions. The Long Marston project is the next step in our partnership, following the delivery of successful projects for schools in the East Midlands.

This year Porterbrook is funding the Primary Engineer project for 10 schools in the Long Marston area.
