Porterbrook Three Peaks Challenge raises £180k for charity
This weekend 135 participants successfully completed the Porterbrook Three Peaks Challenge by Rail, raising £180k for the Railway Children charity.
The charity provides protection and opportunities for vulnerable children who are alone or at risk on the streets.
This is the third year that Porterbrook has sponsored the challenge, which is organised by Railway Children. This year 35 teams - including eight Porterbrook employees – braved extremely windy conditions to climb Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in under 48 hours.
The teams were met by Porterbrook’s Chief Investment Officer, Stefan Rose, at Fort William who gave out medals on the train to all who participated in the challenge.
Congratulations to all that completed the challenge and to Railway Children for putting on another successful Three Peaks event.
