Porterbrook has joined with Network Rail, the Rail Freight Group, Rail Delivery Group and RSSB to create an online version of the popular Rail Staff Carol Service.
This annual event, hosted by the Transport Benevolent Fund, is traditionally held at St Mary's Somers Town, in London.
With Covid restrictions in place the decision was made to pre-record seasonal readings from Andrew Haines, Maggie Simpson, Mark Phillips and Mary Grant. Our carols are led by London's Transport Choir.
Rupert Brennan Brown, Porterbrook's Director of Stakeholder Engagement said: "Our thanks to all our industry partners for supporting this year's virtual Carol Service. We hope that by making this available on-line it will bring a little Christmas cheer to those railway colleagues who keep Britain moving over the festive period and throughout the year."
In place of the usual collection plate in support of the Transport Benevolent Fund’s work, there is the opportunity to donate on-line here.
