Children take on the Rail Live Primary Engineer Challenge
This year at Rail Live we had the pleasure of partnering with Primary Engineer and the Department for Business and Trade to put on a very special event across both days celebrating the Primary Engineer Rail Project.
We were joined by representatives from across the rail industry and local community who teamed up with children from Warwickshire primary schools, close to the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre, to compete in the Rail Live Primary Engineer Challenge.
The pupils all took part in this year’s rail project, which brings engineering into primary schools and was delivered in partnership with Porterbrook. Over the last two years, 1500 pupils in the areas surrounding the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre have taken part in Primary Engineer.
It was the first time that the fun and competitive challenge had been held at Rail Live, helping to inspire the next generation of engineers.
