Porterbrook renews support for the Railway Benefit Fund
Porterbrook is pleased to continue our ongoing partnership with the Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) charity, which provides a range of support to current and former railway employees.
RBF Friends help the organisation in their work assisting people in need and hardship working across rail. This includes initiatives such as the RBF Home Schooling Fund, which has provided IT equipment to the children of over 100 railway families over the last few years. The charity also provides financial support to rail employees to help manage the rising cost of living as well as providing advice on a range of areas including legal issues and debt management.
Mary Grant, Chief Executive Officer, Porterbrook, said: “The Railway Benefit Fund’s work is more important than ever and Porterbrook is proud to strengthen our support for the organisation.’
Tim Shoveller, Managing Director North West and Central Network Rail and RBF Chairman said “Industry support from organisations such as Porterbrook is invaluable to the RBF so we can continue to provide help to our rail colleagues, past and present, who turn to us in times of need. As the demand for our services continues to grow we need our RBF Friends more than ever.”
