Porterbrook sponsors Stratford-upon-Avon Business…

Porterbrook was pleased to sponsor and present the award for Best Business Innovation at the Stratford-upon-Avon Business and Tourism Awards 2022.

Presenting the award to the winners LineClenze International Limited, Kevin Eley, Porterbrook’s Head of Asset Protection, said: “It’s a pleasure to be here in Stratford this evening to represent Porterbrook and present this award for Best Business Innovation.

“It’s been just over a year since Porterbrook came to this area to take over the Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre just down the road from here, and since then many local businesses have played their part and supported our vision to develop and enhance the site.”

Since taking over the site in June 2021, Porterbrook has invested over £3 million to modernise and enhance the facilities to offer both passenger and freight operators an invaluable asset to test and trial new traction methods.

A third of that investment has gone to local businesses, and Porterbrook has recently confirmed £2 million of further investment to develop a state-of-the-art Asset Management Facility at the site.
